Synchronic Records is a record label run and owned by artists.
It's going to be a kind of cultural origami, that is, a kind of non-flat surface. Think of it as folding and changing the currents of contemporary music to suit the needs of those bored by the conventional art, literary, and yes, dj scenes of the early 21st century. It's core sounds mirror the diverse worlds the label members inhabit - folk music, hip-hop, drum n bass, techno, ambient, illbient, whatever you want to call it - Synchronic takes you away from the names and labels and back to the roots of what "culture" in the information age is all about - exchange. So forget what to call the music that the label puts on - it's stuff you have to listen to and decide how you experience it.

Synchronic takes is name as an abbreviation of the term "synchronicity" (with emphasis on the term "city" - it defiantly contradicts all norms of what is "sound-art" and "intelligent-music" and thinks of those terms as really dumb. Literally - ways to silence the noise of a culture made of information. Our logo is taken from the I-Ching and in the spirit of randomly organized events, we prefer that you make your own divination and invite you to toss a couple of records and see what symbol you come up with. That's right - at Synchronic, we like to play. The only rule at the label is that there are no rules.
